My heart and condolences go out to the families, friends and fellow officers of the four RCMP officers who were killed on Thursday, March 3rd.  The officers spent the night of March 2/3 on a stakeout in Rochfort Bridge, Alberta, a rural area northwest of Edmonton. All of the officers were members of the Mayerthorpe detachment who were investigating a marijuana grow operation and allegations of stolen property.  Constable Brock Myrol, 29; Constable Anthony Gordon, 28; Constable Peter Schiemann, 25; and Constable Leo Johnston, 34 were killed in the raid and the country went into a state of mourning during our stay and all flags were at half mast.
views from the tallest building in the world
The tower is 1,800 ft and I went upto the restaurant and the viewing platform at 1,136 ft despite my fear of heights.  We then went upto SkyPod which is at 1,465 ft and the space was very limited and I lasted about 30 seconds before I got nauseous and had to go back down to the previous level.  The other guys took a couple of photos for me including this one of the girls pretending to fall... pity they didn't take in accounf the window frame.  You gotta love 'em.
Part of the platform had a glass floor which was really scary to go near but Karen took this.  I kept well back.
