BWS Tournament Server

BWS Home Page

It would no doubt be nice to store up the same arrangements of the cards for play by competing persons, and for this a shared database to hold that information would be ideal.

In the works, software to provide the ability to play these games and hold a database of players, deals, and games played. Other services are also on the drawing board, including:

  1. A central site and respository, for:
    1. A central database of players, deals, tournaments and games played
    2. A place to post or read on BWS topics (USENET newsgroup style)
    3. A page to hold new game variations
    4. A server-side software product allowing all site services to be available from a relatively compact client-side applet
  2. Tools for creating new and different card games
  3. Tools for creating friendly help screens for new games
  4. Tools for creating new and different sets of game pieces (other than a deck of cards)
  5. A programming interface for creating artificial players (a-players)

I'm currently doing some of this work as a school project, and hope to have something available with a database in it by August of this year (2002). Email me from the home page if you've got comments or suggestions about what's currently under construction!

Thanks -
