Golfing In Ireland

Ulster

Ulster is located in the North of Ireland. It has the most courses per capita in the country. They are generally of excellant quality with many world class links. Prices are slightly higher and the weather slightly cooler. Be aware though that technically a large portion of the North is British so you may need sterling. Most places however will accept Irish currency.

Pretty hilly course. Overlooks Belfast city. Very good value for money due to its proximity to downtown.  Interesting layout with a variety of different holes.  Worth playing if staying around Belfast, but travel a few more miles and you'll get to the championship courses. The greens aren't great, but overall a decent course. Note: In a very Unionist area, should be avoided during times of trouble.
