Kiev 35A - Post Light Leaks!
This set of photos was taken at Aqua Caliente Park outside of Tucson AZ. These historic buildings are scheduled to be completely renovated (ie. ruined) by the park service within a matter of weeks so I thought I would document their current beautifully dilapidated state. This is the first roll of film developed from my Kiev 35A after spray painting the back with black Krylon which seems to have completely solved all of the camera's light leaks (granted, being aware of the semi-transparent shutter blades I was careful to keep the camera closed up as much as possible and never aimed it at the sun). These photos were shot on Ilford Delta Pro 100 rated at 100 and developed in XTOL 1:1 at 68F. While the lens on this camera is fantastically sharp, the poor coatings can be partially blamed for the flair seen in some of these photos, though to be honest, the lighting was quite harsh and I would have been concerned no matter which lens I was shooting.
