Codes of conduct for club
officials and volunteers
The
essence of good conduct and practice is summarised below.
All
volunteers must:

Consider the wellbeing and safety of participants before the development
of performance.
·
Develop an appropriate working relationship with players, based on
mutual trust and respect.
·
Make sure all activities are appropriate to the age, ability and
experience of those taking part.
·
Promote the positive aspects of the sport (e.g. fair play)
·
Display consistently high standards of behaviour.
·
Follow all guidelines laid down by the national governing body and the
club.
·
Hold the appropriate, valid qualifications and insurance cover.
·
Never exert undue influence over performers to obtain personal benefit
or reward.
·
Never condone rule violations, rough play or the use of prohibitive
substances.
Code of conduct for Parents
Spectators are requested to
set a good example to the young players. Remember the age group of players
taking part.

·
Foster enthusiastic participation.
·
Do not force an unwilling child to play.
·
Children learn best by example. Always applaud good play by either team.
·
Always encourage your child to play by the laws of the game.
·
Never scold or ridicule a child for making a mistake during the game.
·
Never intimidate opposing team / spectators.
·
Do not encroach onto the field of play.
·
Teach your child that honest effort is as important as victory, so
defeat is less disappointing.
·
Encourage respect for referees and line judges. Do not publicly question
decisions or honesty.
·
Appreciate the value and importance of volunteers, coaches and referees.
They give up their time and resources to provide
