The Lowdown on Requesting Stuff from my Analog List
Unfortunately I receive way more trade requests for analog items than I can accomodate. Although I do the occassional trade for something from my analog list, a trade offer involving requests only from my CDR list will almost always be given priority. There's a few reasons why a request for something from my analog list makes a prospective trade unappealing to me:
1. The real-time aspect of duplicating an item sourced from cassette takes a lot longer than a straight-up CDR trade. (Yes I've become spoiled by the shorter time and relative ease of burning a cd).
2. My tape collection is not organized well enough to find things quickly. Anyone with a big disorganized tape collection can surely relate to the frustraton of wasting over an hour searching for a tape that may not even merit being in your collection.
I know I have a few gems here in the old tape list, and as much as I'd like to be able to share them, the bottom line is that if I'm busy, I probably won't have time to copy an analog item for you, unless of course you have that killer item I'm really after. A list of my big-time wants that will coerce me into dubbing something from my analog list will be appended here soon.
