Braggin' Rights Tournament | ||||||||||
1. Any officer on either side is eligible to participate. You may participate with any or all of your battles. No officer is required to participate. 2. There are no set points for any battle. Officers will offer points to be awarded for a major victory for their opponent versus the number of points they would earn for a major victory. Officers will be allowed to handicap and make or accept offers on battles as they see fit. It is perfectly acceptable to negotiate any points played for. Here are some example offers: A. A Union Colonel offers 2 points for a major victory to any Confederate of equal or lower rank for a historical BGG Gettysburg to his 1 point. B. A Confederate Major offers 2 points for a major victory for a historical BGN Antietam to his 6 points. C. A Union General offers 3 points to any Confederate Lt. to his 1 point for BGG Wheatfield to Roundtop. 3. You can offer no more then 8 points to a player. All games where equal points are offered will be for one point each. 4. All accepted offers and game results are to be reported to Mark Nelms (nelmsm@earth-comm.com). Please make the subject line of your email "Braggin' Rights" 5. Periodic updates will be made on this site so the sides can track the progress of the campaign. 6. Officers may offer points for any game they play and may participate at any time of the year at their discretion. For example you could play for points for a game you start in March, play for no points for a game started in June, and play for points again for a game started in September. 7. Full points will be awarded for major victories. Half the offered points will be awarded for minor victories and no points awarded for draws. 8. At the end of the year the side with the most points will be declared the winner of that year's campaigning and will have bragging rights for the coming year. If enough interest is generated and maintained then it can be restarted the next year. 9. These points have nothing to do with your OBD points. They are strictly for the tournament and the tournament only. I do suspect that medals for valor might be awarded for officers making huge gains for their side if they win a high risk/high reward battle. 10. All games must be completed and submitted to Mark Nelms by 12/31/06 to be counted in the tourney. |
