Smith is a very popular name in Anglo-Saxon communities. It is based on goldsmith/blacksmith/silversmith/etc. I am related to two families of Smith's. The first I am decended from, the second I am related to by blood.
1. My ancestors in the Smith family, from the earliest records I have, show them coming from Bristol, England. My earliest known ancestor of this name is Sidney Smith. My closest relative from this family is June Margaret Smith (1948 - Present).
2. By blood I am related to people of the Smith. This family as far as I know comes from Adelaide, Australia. My closest relative by this name is Adam John Smith.
