While natural means have been a large part of my recovery, severe AA is a condition which needs more than a natural diet and changed lifestyle. My recovery would not have been possible without a great many people. I would like to extend my thanks to the following people (the order has no bearing as to importance):
1. All my blood donors-Steve N. Steve D. Mehrzad, Efraim, Rosa, Mark, Kirk, Glenn, Victor, etc.--I had too many donors to name each and everyone, but I am immensely grateful.
2. I had 5 regular platelet donors who selflessly gave each month. (I took platelets every week, but since there were five of you, you guys rotated.) Thank you Shawn, Armand, Ariel, Russ, and Carrie!
3. The staff at the Procedure Center where I got most of my transfusions. All us AA patients know what a prize it is to find good IV nurses! Keep on rockin'!
4. The staff at the blood bank, who my sister and I would routinely check up on for my blood supply.
5. The phlebotomist at my doctor's office. Thanks, Millie, you have the gentle touch!
6. My hematologist, Dr. M. Thanks for taking me on although you might think I'm nuts.
7. Friends-Anna, Mary Ann, Adrienne, Kim, Glenn, Roger, Aidzz, Jo Ann, Jon--Thanks for all the encouraging e-mails and jokes! Hey, Jon! You know you are one of the big sparks that got us on the natural healing path! You better live to be 150! Ha ha!
8. AA/MDS TALK and AplasticAnemia Central forum friends and fellow AA/MDSers. Thanks for sharing your experiences and research. Keep up the good work Ali and Daniel!
9. My Church and all the other church members from other various churches of friends and relatives that have held me and my family up in prayer. Your persistence and care have, I believe, reached God's ears! Thank you, Bill, for all the unfailing encouragement you continued to send to us. Many of the tapes were very timely as I had many times battled depression and doubt during my recovery.
10. Tita Letty. You are my partner in crime, that is, you have gone the way of natural healing before me. Your faith has been encouraging. You never let up hope from the very beginning since you learned of my determination to heal naturally. You are a tour de force!
11. Mommy and Daddy, Marissa and Kirk, Marinel and Mark! You know what you've done for me and my family! I could write volumes of books with what we have all been through together. I love you!
12. My wonderful husband, Brian and our children. You are God's gift to me. Thank you for sticking with me through the thick and thin.
13. Most
of all, I thank God. The God of heaven and earth, creator of all
things for being with me and putting all these special people in my life.
You have shown Your love to me through them and revealed Yourself to me
through all of nature! Thank you! :o)
