Godfathers Tour Europe December '98

The band played a number of European dates in December of 1998. This was posted on Imusic Bulletin Board Jan 14, 1999.

Hi to all godfathers fans out there ! Iīve been to three of their European shows (Austria and Germany) in December and they were great!!

The Line-Up: from the Afterlife Line-Up are only Peter and Chris left. I donīt know any of the others in the band - sorry.

They played quite the same songs at every show starting of with She Gives Me Love, followed by BSWD, How Low Is Low, Johnny Cash Blues, I Want Everything, This Damn Nation, Cause I Said So, I Donīt Believe In You and all the other "great hits", (Cold Turkey was only played at one concert when the audience requested it) but they also played stuff like John Barry or I Want You. A real highlight was a song Peter and Chris wrote for the Sid Presley Experience called Hup 234.

As encores they played cover versions of: I Wanna Be Your Dog, Fight For Your Right, Pretty Vacant, and Blitzkrieg Bop. That was really great, everyone in the audience went nuts. Peter said they played them as "Christmas presents".

There weren't any new songs - does anyone know if they are recording a new album?????????????????? Peter was as usually "grummy", but still sang all the songs with this rage i love so much. The new ones in the band are also great and every concert was perfect. They lasted about one and a half hour which is really too short. I always wanted more, but had to drive to another concert so that's all for now.

I really would be happy if anyone else who was at some concert would write a review here!!!!!!!!!! I really enjoyed the concerts and hope it wonīt take another three years (as after the afterlife tour) to see them again. - Anonymous
