Class visits are a vital part of the Maroa Public Library. School classes visit the library, the younger ones for storytime and book checkout, the older classes for research and book checkout. We have had some high school class visits as well, gatering research materials.
Maroa Public Library has a nice collection of Accelerated Readers that can be checked out by those participating in the Accelerated Reader Program. More books are added to this collection periodically.
Window displays in the library consist of art objects and projects by school classes, 4-H, and by local residents. We welcome displays for the window and encourage patrons to let us know what thy have to display.
The Library Board members are: Joyce Holland, President; Bill BcGuire, Vice President; Janice Leach, Secretary; Karen Halicki, Treasurer; Pat Sinclair, Linda Heckman and Diane Wiemer.
Friends of the Library is a volunteer group whose purpose is to support the library in many different ways. They meet the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Maroa Public Library.
