Couch Commando Daddy-O: Do Daddies Hog the TV?
Catindig, Pamela ABSTRACT This is a comparative case study on the TV viewing patterns of two families. The study is set in a nuclear family in the setting of the home. It is in the home that the family can be observed interacting while viewing television. It is also the ideal environment to study gender and power relationships. This paper attempts to explore the difference on the viewing pattern of parents and show the gender and power relations that happen in the context of TV viewing with the use of the theory of Patriarchy.
