LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF
by Sukie
(with a little help from my pal, Ricker)
Let me introduce myself.  My name is Sukie, but I also answer to Sue or Pump (short for Pumpkin), and an occasional whistle my companion , Ricker, makes.  I am Calico by extraction and I am pleasantly enjoying my seventh life.  I once lived in the household of an ill tempered Egyptian queen, but she treated me royally so I have expected such treatment ever since.  I also lived a former life in my beloved Ireland - hence my devotion to shamrocks and from whence comes my playful, elfin nature and my beautiful emerald green eyes.

I have lived happily in my present territory in West Virginia since 1997 and share my space with my pal and constant companion, Ricker.  It took me nearly all of eight  years, but I am pleased to say, I have him almost completely trained.

There are acres and acres to call my own  in which to hunt and to play.  I am an avid hunter.  I concentrate mainly on field mice, but I enjoy no success catching birds - which oddly pleases Ricker no end.  I  have had great fun with those animated tails Ricker calls snakes which seems  to horrify that sweet but simple man.  I try to share my bounty with him from time to time, but without success.  He has always been a finicky eater and I have given up on trying to find a delicacy he likes.

For myself, I tend to eat Southern style which means plenty of variety and choices each meal.  Ricker has always been a good provider and he does set me a nice table.  My tastes run  to Cat Chow, chicken, turkey, salmon, half and half ( I hate that awful skim milk he drinks), and my favorite of all - tartar control treats which I could make a meal of -  I love them!

In a final note - I am far smarter than brainy types called scientists say that I am.   I always come in out of the rain,  I avoid people who don't like me (and believe me, I can always sniff them out),  and I am adept at getting pretty much what I want out of this life.  Best of all, I know and appreciate when I am loved and respected and in that regard, I am truly blessed.  Ricker loves me so much, he has even written some poems about me which I hope you will read.

Take care and happy hunting.  Lots of love,

Sukie

P.S.  The midi is titled "Alley Cat" and I chose it because I love the melody, but I detest the title which certainly doesn't apply to me.
