Guardian Angel

I dreamed of a woman with skin so soft.
In my dream I could feel it, like satin cloth.

What a wonderful dream.
We talked and we danced.
There was no passion nor the feelings of romance.

"Who are you lady that brings happiness to me?
Could you be an Angel?  One only I see?"

Sweet lady replyed with a voice so soft it made me cry.
"Yes I am." she said.
Then I seen a tear in her own eye.

"My sweet Angel why do you cry?
Why do those heavenly tears fall from your eyes."

"I have been watching you" my Angel says.
"So proud of you, So very proud.
In every part of every way
you make me proud each day."

"My sweet Angel, what could you be proud of?
I have done nothing. I'm just a homemaker,
a mother filled with love."

"I am proud of your two children.
The moral teachings you provide.
They are learning wonderfuly.
For them, you set everything aside."

"I am proud of you and your home
You do so much, too much.
You are surrounded by a man and two boys,
but it still has a woman's touch."

"You are a good woman and Mother.
I visited you just to say,
You are loved each and every day."

"My Angel wait, will you please stay a little longer?"
She replyed with a no and I was asleep no longer.

As I woke with tears in my eyes,
I knew beside me was my Angel still helping to guied me.

Flashing back to my dream.
I tried to remember because it seemed,
those feelings being wih my Angel are familiar to me.

Now I know what feeling that was.
A feeling I thought I had lost.
I prayed for God to let me have once more.
No matter what the cost.

The feeling of neverending friendship.
The bond between daughter and Mother.
The feeling of a love that once was
& now gone because of another.

I'm sure the driver didn't mean it
and feels sorrow for what he has done.
Why he choose to hit and run will never be known,
but what has been done is done

I miss you Mom but life will be better
knowing you are my guardian 24/7.
I know you are watching me and my family,
waiting to greet us in Heaven.

In memory of  My Mother,
Donna Jean Belcher.
