Roses' Camp Journal |
Day One Dear Camp Journal, So here I am again. Camp Milk and Cookies. It's good to be back, I suppose. This year's campers are Holli, Tails, and Tyrael. They seem very capable of becoming Tri-Leaders one day. As long as they complete their training. We'll have to see how it goes. After that horrible experience last year, with those other campers...well, I burned that journal. We won't go there. I'm pleased to know that Vinnie is back this year. Normally, he would be teaching the swimming lessons, sports, and wilderness survival while the clones teach the drama, dancing, and seduction. However, I have made the decision to change that around this year. I feel that Vinnie will do a better job teaching the dancing and seduction, in his own special way. The clones, meanwhile, will be fine in the water (hopefully, Ann remembered to waterproof them). I'm not sure if Vic is going to show up this year or not. He tends to stay in the lumberyard, especially after that creamed corn incident. Which is also why Ann is running the cafeteria. As long as Rosey stays away from the jello, and all other food for that matter, we'll be fine. I've also given Ann her very own "Counselor's Only" room for her global positioning system/spy network/moon base monitor. I can only hope that the campers don't find out about it. Rosey, meanwhile, will be staying with the campers. Someone has to be there at night, in case they decide to sneak out and need a counselor to tie up. Rosey will do very well at that job. Day Two Dear Journal, Yes, I feel that these campers will be much better than last year. Apparently, they spent all night terrifying Rosey with ghost stories. He's lucky we came to rescue him---at dawn. Holli and Tails remind me very much of myself and Ann. I think we made a good decision in choosing to train them. Tyrael, on the other hand, reminds me of Rosey, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I mean, Ann and I work with Rosey, Holli and Tails should be able to work with Tyrael. Now, however, it is time for swimming lessons. I wonder what tricks the campers will manange to play on Rosey. I wonder what tricks Ann and I will manange to play on Rosey.... ~Later~ Sigh. Rosey never knew what hit him. Tails's plan to make holes in his water wings so that they wouldn't stay inflated in the deep end was a very intelligent plan. And successful, too. Ann and I performed our traditional, steal the towel trick, as soon as we saw that he lost his leopard print speedo. I didn't exactly see what bush he used to get back to camp...as I was busy taking a picture, but I certainly hope it was, I mean wasn't, the poison oak. While he was gone, I handed out all the ice cream sandwiches. It's too bad he didn't bring enough for everyone. Oh well, off to the computer room. ~Later~ Vinnie's seduction lesson was priceless. I have never laughed so much in my whole life. I was right to give him the job. But, alas, he ran off in the woods with my shoes! Now they're ruined. Needless to say, he won't be teaching that lesson anymore. I have to stay in the room with the campers tonight. Rosey won't go in there. Especially after the campfire stories. At least I'll get a chance to talk to them. Tomorrow can be Ann's turn. Then we'll force Rosey back in there. Day Three Dear Journal, Well, after last night spent in the cabin with the campers, I awoke early to watch the sunrise and enjoy nature. Then, I wandered to the cafeteria to see what Ann was up to. She was, of course, busy making breakfast for the counselors. We discussed the possibility of having a dance with the Boy Scout camp across the lake and agreed that it was probably a good idea. Our campers need someone other than Rosey to practice their new skills on. Then I rang the bell to call everyone for breakfast. After we ate, I informed the campers of the day's activities. First thing was a scavenger hunt. Vinnie mananged to lose my stilettos and Ann's fishnets in the woods yesterday, so it was up to the campers to find them. Luckily for us both, they found all our missing clothing rather quickly. By this point, Roseidous was still missing. Ann and I assumed he just overslept, but it turns out he was in the infirmary with this rash. But no worries, it should clear up soon. After lunch, it was time for the most exciting part of the day. Through Stan's surveillance, Ann found out that the Boy Scout Camp, Camp Porkchops and Applesauce, had a mysterious ingredient in their applesauce that Ann wanted to use. We decided to let the campers go on a spy mission by themselves to get us the recipe. Of course, we sent Vinnie along behind them, but they didn't know he was there. While they were gone, Ann and I finished checking the traps in the computer room. She'll be staying with the campers tonight while Rosey "recovers" and we don't want anyone to get in there while she's gone. We also contacted Al Broker to make sure we had enough money for the dance. Rosey doesn't know about the dance yet, but we'll tell him and the campers later this week. Day Four Dear Journal, Very interesting news today. Last night, while Roseidous was in the infirmary, it seems that the campers got into his lockbox. They found his supply of belly-button exposing magazines and his video with the doorknob. Luckily, they don't have a VCR. Ann has them now, I don't think Rosey knows that they're missing yet. He'll find out soon enough. It also appears that the campers got past the traps into Ann's computer lab last night while we were all sleeping. They seem to have created their own website which is against the Tri-Leaders. Obviously, this is one of Vinnie's training exercises. If not, I certainly don't want to repeat the incidents of last year. That was a disaster. Today, the campers learned how to work with Bubba and his vulture. Roseidous taught them the hand signals and noises to make to get Bubba's attention. Poor Tyrael. Bubba mistook his call to go into the cave as the signal to attack. Good thing they rescued Rosey before any damage was done. Speaking of Tyrael, I wonder how he likes camp. The girls seem to be having a wonderful time, but I haven't heard much from him. We'll have to see how it goes. Maybe when Rosey stays in the cabin again tonight he and Tyrael can have a "manly" discussion. Yeah, right. Well, off to bed. Day Five Dear Journal, It has been a long day. Today we sent Vinnie and the campers to the grocery store in town for supplies. Vic was angry, but hey, he can't supply us with everthing all the time, now can he? I'm not exactly sure what happened in town, but Vinnie says that he and the campers are not allowed to show their faces in that store ever again. Billy Jo just laughed hysterically at that comment, so I can only assume he snuck out and went with them. Probably adding on to that video he's making for some reason. Meanwhile, the Tri-Leaders had a counselor's meeting. Ann and I told Rosey about our idea for the dance with Camp Porkchops and Applesauce. He didn't seem very thrilled with it, however. But oh well, we're having it anyway, on day 8. We shall tell the campers about it on day 7. Then the meeting turned to Project X. It evolved into a shouting match between the three of us. Seems we just can't agree on some of the things involved. We yelled at each other for about an hour, until Murry told us from atop the lamp to just shut up, we were acting worse than him for once. Ann stormed off to the cafeteria, but not before throwing The Doorknob Video at Roseidous as hard as she could. Sadly, it didn't hit him. "The campers got in your lockbox, and you're lucky to get that back!" she screamed at him. Personally, I would have destroyed the tape, Ann just doesn't think of these things. Or maybe that's just my anger talking. "Yeah, well, I told them about Stan's weakness for cheese crackers!" Rosey screamed back at her as she walked away. At that, I just had to get out the whip and threaten him with it. Those computers are too important for him to help the campers get in there. I also told him not to do anything about the campers breaking ito the lockbox, because it was his own fault for even bringing it with him. He just turned around and walked toward the lake, calling over his shoulder about how he was leaving tomorrow. Where he would go, I have no idea. There's nothing out here but that other camp, the grocery store, and the gas station. I was left with Murry, who just stared at me. Well, stared as best he could without eyes. Before he could even say a word, I took him down and put him in his box. He's not happy with me, but what else is new? The rest of the day, the Tri-Leaders refused to even look at each other. We attempted to act cheerful however, for the campers. Maybe they didn't notice a thing. And now I'm going to sleep. |
