GENERAL RULES
Pulling vehicles must be
operated in a safe manner at all times within the confines of the track, pits
and staging areas. If any driver or any members of their crew are incapacitated
due to intoxicating agents, or using profane language, they will be told to
leave the park. Any person 18 years of
age or younger must have a parent or legal guardian assist at all times while
operating the tractor. Only one person on the tractor when
running or moving, no riders at any time. The operator must remain seated and have
complete control of the tractor at all times during the pull. The tractor may
only pull in one division per event. Only two drivers may pull the same tractor
per class. A driver may only pull once per tractor per class. All drivers must
wear shirt, pants, and shoes before they will be allowed to compete. Membership
card must be shown in order to sign-up for the class. The class will close when
the first tractor hooks to the sled.
Weighing out immediately following an individual pull is mandatory, otherwise the hook will be disqualified.
Four-wheel drive tractors, homemade tractors or blowers or turbo-chargers are
not allowed. There will be no exhibition tractors or pulls. All pulls mustt start with a tight hitch. Jerking is not permitted.
Contestants will be allowed a total oft two consecutive attempts within 25 feet
to start the sled. All tractors must have a working kill switch that is easily
accessible. All tractors must have a working 2-l/2lb. Dry chemical fire
extinguisher mounted within reach of the driver when seated. Side shields must
be removable without tools. Side shields must be removed for technical
inspection. Tractors in classes A, B, & C must be weighed in and
technically inspected before
DRAWBARS
The hitch point will be up to 20 inches high in all classes. It also must be at least 1 8 inches rearward from the center of the rear axle. The hitch may be adjustable in height but be able to be mechanically locked at the hitching point. The pulling point must be accessible in all directions. Weights cannot obstruct drawbar or kill switch. The hitch point will be a flat plate with a three inch hole or bigger or it’s equivalent. No devises &C allowed.
WEIGHTS
All weights must be securely mounted to the tractor. The loss -of a weight during the pull is an automatic disqualification of that hook. Front weights and bracket cannot extend more than 11 feet from the center of the rear axle. Rear weights cannot extend rearward beyond the rear tires. Weights cannot obstruct drawbar or kill switch.
PROTEST
To make a protest you must pay a $ 50.00 non-refundable fee and fill out a written form provided at the track office. Each tractor being protested must be on its own form The form must be turned in to a judge before the class starts. The protest fee will be returned ifa protest is found valid.
JUDGES
A panel off judges will be at each pull. The decision of the judges is final and shall not be appealed; provided however, with a showing of reasonable and good cause; the appeal will be taken into consideration.
POINTS
We have a points system for all our pulls. Points are awarded as follows: 5 points for hooking to the sled and 10 points for the first place in the class, 9 for second, 8 for third, etc. down to 1 point for tenth. For a driver to receive points at the end of the year, h must pull at least three times in that class. At the end of the year, whoever has the most points in each class will win a point trophy.
JUNIOR DIVISION
Classes 4, B, C, D, 0, J and M will have a Junior Division. To qualify for Jr. Division points the driver must be between the ages of 9 to 15 with a parent and/or legal guardian on the track to at all times. All other rules also apply to Jr. Division. There will be a separate point’s trophy for Jr. Division. All Junior’s will pull first in class.
WHEELIE BARS
All tractors must have wheelie bars. The .wheelie bars must attached to a stationary point on the tractor and MUST BE SEPARATE FROM THE HITCH. The wheelie bars must extend beyond the rear point of the tires and be strong enough to support the weight of the tractor in its heaviest class.
FUELS AND ENGINES
Only gasoline, diesel fuel or LP gas will be allowed. No alcohol or nitrous oxide is permitted. All Antique Div. Gas & diesel tractors must have an original stock carburetor or injector pump or it’s replacement as supplied by the original manufacturer. Farm Stock Div. Tractors may use any updraft or horizontal ag carburetor that will bolt on without modification or adapter plate to a stock manifold. Nor wires or mechanisms to bypass the governor are allowed. Antique and Farm Stock tractors must have the original block, head, manifold or an original replacement and be stock in appearance. Any tractor in violation will be disqualified.
MODIFIED FARM STOCK
All Engines must be factory block or OEM replacement inline engines with a maximum of 6 cylinders permitted. If engine Rpm’s are more than 20% over factory. side shields and scatter blanket are MANDATORY Side shields must be removable without tools. Side shields must be removed for technical inspection. General rules, drawbars, weights, fuel, wheelie bars, disqualification, judges and points (rules) apply to these classes.
V8 RULES
All Engines must be single carbureted and cast iron block only. No blowers, chargers or fuel injection. 5000 RPM Maximum. Speed Limit 10 MPH. General rules, drawbars, weights, fuel, wheelie bars, disqualification, judges and points (rules) apply to these classes. Must be kept stock appearing.
DISQUALIFICATIONS
When a driver’s class and number are called, the driver will be disqualified if he/she misses their position. If, however, you are late for legitimate reasons, it will be taken into consideration by the track judges. If any part of the tractor or sled touches the boundary lines, you are disqualified for that hook. If you are red flagged and do not stop immediately, you will be disqualified for the rest of that pull. If the bottom of the front tires are more than 36” in the air, the hook will be disqualified. Any alcoholic beverage found or seen on any vehicle, drive or crewmember will disqualify them for that event. You can be disqualified at the tech inspection and track judges discretion. Any visible violation(s) of the rules will result in disqualification. The tech inspection committee can determine this, which is final. Track judges will enforce track rules and their decision is final. Disqualification means no points, refunds or rain checks. The tractor committee reserves the right to adjust the rules during the year. However, if a person is disqualified at the start of a class or during the class, but for any reason the sled is readjusted and the class starts over, you may pull again if you correct your rules infraction.
