You may only claim up to $1500 toward paying an attorney to get you what the law says you are due. After that, you will pay out-of-pocket for attorney assistance. Yes, that is your lifetime allotment. If your insurer ignores your needs consistently and frequently, your $1500 will be exhausted quickly. Be sure to contact your lawmakers to complain vociferously. Most don't seem to believe that this world actually exists.
That is why you should consider contacting the EAO for free assistance. The Employee Assistance Offices are located statewide and are supposed to help you in your travails through Florida's workers compensation system.
