Quick & Easy Brownies
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Blend butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Add eggs; beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Gradually blend into egg mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
Spread in a 9 in. square baking pan. Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from edges of pan. Cool, frost.
Frosting
3 Tbls. butter
3 Tbls. cocoa
1 Tbl. corn syrup or honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar
1 or 2 Tbls. milk
Cream first four ingredients. Add sugar and milk. Beat to spreading consistency.
