Texas Sheet Cake

2 c. flour, sifted
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) butter 
1 c. water
4 Tbls. cocoa
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Sift together flour, sugar and salt. Bring butter, water and cocoa to a boil and pour over flour mixture. In another bowl, Mix eggs, soda, buttermilk, vanilla and cinnamon. Add to the other ingredients and mix well. 

Bake at 350º in a large shallow pan for 20 minutes. Frost upon removing from oven.

Frosting
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
4 Tbls. cocoa
6 Tbls. milk 

Heat the above ingredients, then add: 
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well.
