The day had dragged on and on, the time lengthened by her worry. Deli looked from the clock to the door for what seemed like the thousandth time in so many hours. She'd heard a car door, but yet again, it turned out to be one of the neighbors coming or going. Stupid neighbors, she thought bitterly. She looked down at her lap, realizing she was still in her grubby sweats and it was almost nine o'clock at night.

Trudging to her room to change, she thought back on her conversation with Angeline…

'He came and visited Seth for awhile but left quickly…Didn't come in, stayed outside.' Angeline had said. 'Don't worry, he'll be back; he's not stupid. He could have taken his portable charger. Probably did, now that I think about it. Want to talk to Seth?'

Deli had said 'no'. She didn't want to invade Loth's privacy anymore than she already had in the past few days. She glanced at the clock again and sighed. Could time drag any longer? she thought. What did I do before Loth came along? Figuring she needed the distraction, she sat down at her computer again and began to write. Since she was so restless, she switched between writing on a fic and writing an account of Loth's departure. Having checked her mail over a hundred times with no avail, she dug deeper into her work.

She soon finished her latest chapter and the one about Loth, despite her tendency to jump anytime she heard a noise outside. She glanced toward the kitchen, noting that she hadn't eaten since the night before. She got up to go force something down, but found she couldn't even bear to be in the room with all of Loth's cooking stuff. She grabbed a soft drink out of the fridge and headed for her bedroom.

Yet again, the memories assaulted her and she left immediately. Rubbing her raw, itching red eyes, she entered Loth's room, setting her drink on his nightstand. After she blew her nose, she curled up on his bed again, clutching his pillow to her tightly as she drifted off.

The morning sun woke her early the next morning. No wonder Loth likes to sleep in my room. I forgot the windows face this way in this room, she thought. Stretching, she rolled out of bed and headed for the kitchen. She cocked her head to the side, noting the coffee perking. Could it be?

She looked around the house wildly, hoping to find a trace of her wayward bot. When she came up with nothing, she peeked out the door hopefully, but was likewise disappointed. Until her eye caught a small white envelope barely sticking out of the box. She plucked it out, not caring that she was standing on her front porch at nine am wearing jammy pants with Princess written all over them. Her trembling hands ripped open one end, hoping she wasn't finding a letter that said her baby was never coming back.

Deli luv-
I'm sorry if I've worried you by being gone. I've just needed to deal with a few things by myself. And I'm still working on that, but for now, I guess I have a few questions. Well, those can wait actually. Better to do that stuff in person, I'd suppose. I'm just working questions of my own, you know? Seth told me that Fangy knows what happened at the tracks, which kind of set me even further back. Gave me more things to think about. And I'm sure Seth told you I haven't been out fighting. Unfortunately, I've been rather Poof like, sitting and brooding for hours on end. I can't say I'll be back soon, because I don't know. But I will say I'll be back as soon as I possibly can. And in case that's not all he told you, I've relocated as of this morning I stopped by to drop this off and set your coffee to perk. I know how grumpy you are without your morning coffee… Please don't be angry or upset or worried. I'm smart enough to charge and take care of myself. I want to come back in one piece for my sweetie!

Love,
Lothario

Deli sighed, folding the paper in half and stuffing it back in the envelope. At least I know he's okay, she thought. Not that it makes me feel better, just safer? Hell, I don't know anymore. She sat on the porch, staring out into the street, watching the cars pass by for over an hour. Anything to get her mind off Loth's absence was game. When her cup was empty, she headed in and refilled it, sitting down at the computer to see if her mail would be a distracting enough to fill yet another barren hour.
