 Thank you very much for your kind review of my Martini, Straight Up: The Classic American Cocktail.

 You say, "He slips up rarely, such as when he accuses the American Korean War comedy series, M*A*S*H, of failing to repeat the original film's several references to martinis ... ." (TLS Apr. 2, 1999, p. 33/4).

 I said: "I never saw a single episode of the long M*A*S*H  television series, in which, I know, the Martini continued to play a role" (110).
