| Match Report Team A 17 - 20 Team B Match report to follow later. I can't remember much of this because it happened about 2 weeks before now, when I'm writing this. Team B were 13 - 4 up at half time, so there was a gallant fightback by Team A, which was quite good and included some spectacular goals, including a superb effort by late replacement Calvey to finish the match which left Team A's goalkeeper completely unsighted!! Calvey had come in overnight for the afflicted Sean O'Donnell who was having problems and pulled out at 2:35 a.m. however, Calvey confirmed his availability at 7:10 a.m. that same morning. Certain sections of Team A were unhappy with this and will no doubt be writing a strongly worded letter to FIFA's 5-a-side indoor soccer department in the near future to voice their discontent. Anyway, best of luck to them!! Team A: Martin Gormally, Darragh Oliver, John Fallon, Padraig Spillane, Martin O'Donoghue. Team B: Ronan Hourihane, Daire Mullan, David Lillis, Philip Bourke, Michael J. Calvey. Best Goal: Martin J. Gormally, superb left footed angled volley into the top right handed corner leaving David Lillis completely unsighted in Team B's goal. The "Did anyone see my mirror" award: Martin O'Donoghue. Best (Worst) Foul: Philip Bourke, superbly bad, high, elbow first challenge on John Fallon. Phil has been the only recipient of this award so far, on 2 seperate occasions. Best Player: Tough one, we'll give it to the Mule this week. |
