Yesterday, 7th of Oct. 2000: Maiden flight (for me, not for the Heli).
After some problems with the Engine (new ignition system) I found the courage on this cold, clear autumn day at our field in Cologne-Wahn. And she flys beautifully! It is quite a different feeling to control such a heavy, slow heli. Very smooth. You cannot help but fly it scale.
After a few adjustments I think I have optimized the throttle curve and the tail rotor. Now I will have to practice a little (a lot!)... |

Gestern am 07.10.2000: Erstflug (für mich, nicht für den Heli). Nach einigen Problemen mit dem Motor - neue Zündspule - habe ich an einem schönen Herbstsamstag, klar und kalt, den Mut gefunden. Und: Sie fliegt!! Und wie! Es ist wirklich ein ganz anderes Gefühl, einen solchen schweren, trägen Hubi zu steuern. Man kann sie fast nicht anders, als Scale fliegen. Butterweich!
Nach einigen Einstellungen stimmt jetzt auch die Throttle-Kurve und das Heck. Jetzt muß ich noch ein bischen (viel) üben... |
