Gundobad, along with his wife, and his two daughters were driven into exile.

Before King Dagobert I of the Franks died, his Neustrian and Burgundian nobles urged a union of those two kingdoms, and do
when he died in 639, Clovis II became king of Neustria and Burgundy. In 656, both Grimoald, Mayor of the Palace of Austrasia,
and his son Childebert who he had placed on the Austrasian throne, were executed. The next year, Clovis II died, leaving the
kingdom to his infant son Chlotar III, really just a puppet of the powerful Neustrian and Burgundian nobles.
