They cannot speak they cannot talk,
The biggest thing they ask is for a walk.
They never laugh they never cry,
But us they love until they die.
Big and small they love us dearly,
If they could talk they would tell us, surely.
They bark, they yelp they ask us to listen,
When you look in their eyes you see them glisten,
They are like children naughty and nice,
Like all good things full of spice.
When we need help they are there,
When we are sad they show they care.
For some they are eyes for some they are ears,
This they do for us without shedding tears.
A bowl of clean water a dish of hearty food,
They are there for us never in a mood.
We take them for granted that we do,
If they could they would say "I Love You."
Life makes no sense but for us they live,
Many reasons to have dogs and the love they give.
