Faceless friends

Over the months I have made many a friend,
Most of them just greetings we do send.
Some of the others I've got to know,
The rest I will meet when to the party we go.

We speak of our feelings good and bad,
We express our emotions happy and sad.
We talk of things our hearts they desire,
When we greet of health we do enquire.

Why do we do it who will ever know,
Why not to our loved ones do we speak so.
The things that we say we have no care,
For into our eyes these friends cannot stare.

Within these lines do you see it as true,
Why do we do it me and you.
What would happen these friends to meet,
Would it be the same when we next greet.

What will happen can friendship grow stronger,
Or will it make the friendship last longer,
Come on people let me see your faces,
Maybe these friendships will go places.

So the 2nd July is the date not to forget,
We gonna have a party that you can bet.
