Hospital days

When I'm sick I need some care,
When I am ill who will be there.
In the hospital for days on end,
I need someone to be a friend.

The Doctor's are there for the operation,
The Nurse's to care for the sick nation.
If I need help I call for the Sister,
When I get home gee I will miss her.

To the cooks I say thank you for the food,
Sometimes I leave it when I'm not in the mood.
If I make a mess they come and clean,
To the cleaners I say I'm not being mean.

Now I must stay longer not much fun,
I'd rather be home playing in the sun.
You are only human you try your best,
But of all the hospitals this is the best.

My parents say thanks but where to start,
To everyone we say thank you from the heart.
Words cannot express what we want to say,
Maybe this poem will on this very day.
