Insight

As I stroll along with my ever loving dog,
Through the countryside and rest upon a log.
Here we sit and listen to the birds singing,
Inhaling all the smells and the joy it's bringing.

As I wander along the paths and onto the street,
I feel the different surfaces there beneath my feet.
The people walking by I feel them stand and stare,
That does not worry me for I have learned not to care.

I pass the school and hear the children playing,
Sometimes I hear the nasty things they're saying.
What are they all thinking what's in their mind,
What makes me different for I am only blind.

I am neither stupid or invisible to you,
Think of my feelings in what you say and do.
For I am not so different I am human too,
Next time you see me stop and say "how do you do."

So come on people I also have a life,
I might need your help with all the strife.
Don't forget I have only lost my sight,
Come talk to me and get a little insight.
