There are a few things in life that you keep forever,
One of them is memories they cannot be stolen, never.
Of the good times and the bad always in your mind,
Thing that were nice and people that were kind.

The memories of long ago when you were still young,
The joy and excitement life had just begun.
The hopes and fears collected throughout the years,
The laughs and jokes as well as all the tears.

The thrill of your first love the happiness it brought,
And when you lose it the lessons it taught.
How great thing were on your wedding day,
The fun filled night the love and the play.

When the first child was born that great pride,
But when it got hurt the fears left inside.
Along came the second the pride is still there,
Because for your children you will always care.

The different emotions as at the alter they kneel,
And then their children the love that you feel.
These memories are yours to keep forever more,
Hold them tight you don't want to lose them for sure.
