My poems

Many have asked why this poetry I do write,
This question I am asked on many a night.
This is not so simple as it seems,
I write poetry others have dreams.

When did this all start it was not so far back,
Something to explain I was on the wrong track.
I could not find the words that had to be said,
What could I do so I wrote a poem instead.

It's the best way to express what I want to say,
Not for every day but to say it in a special way.
To let people know the way that I feel,
To send a message or a friendship to seal.

Some of them are written just for a bit of fun,
Others convey my feelings to someone.
But you ask how to tell them apart,
The ones with feelings come from my heart.

Some things sound better when in words said,
Other things are better when left unsaid.
I have found the best way of all them,
Is to say it from the heart in the lines of a poem.
