Never forget

There are many lessons to be learned from the past,
From the time of the dinosaur to the Hiroshima blast.
Many good things did happen a lot were bad,
If this should happen again how sad.

Things like the Holocaust should never be forgotten,
It can happen again used by evil, begotten.
This is not the way that people should behave,
Use other ways our paths with gold to pave.

Who wants to live in a world full of hate,
Is it not better for all to have food on their plate.
Our efforts would be better spent on healing ways,
And not wasted on killing days.

Vietnam and Lockerbie will they ever be forgot,
Let's make sure that they are not.
Auschwitz and Hitler these we don't need,
It is to your hearts that I plead.

We do not want war but to live in harmony,
Make the world a better place for you and me.
In a world where no one has to fret,
The lessons of the past we must never forget.
