I am on this planet because of just two people,
Who many years ago got married under a steeple.
They swore their love to honour and obey,
And here they are together up until today.
Who are these people they took such care of me,
I often sit and wonder without them, who would I be.
When I was good a hug and kiss I would get,
If I was naughty a smack on that I took no bet.
When I was hurt I got first aid from my mum,
But if I was bad dad gave a smack on the bum.
These things made no sense when I was a child,
Why was this done now I know why to stop me getting wild.
All these things they did for me and my sisters too,
I never took much time to say I love you.
Forever they will not be leaving things unsaid,
Tell them you love them don't keep it in your head.
Too often there's a harsh word a problem still there,
Life is too short say sorry show that you care.
Be careful what you say to them things you might resent,
For they might not be here when you need to repent.
When they are gone your words they will not hear,
They will not see you when you shed a tear.
So, all you people you know what to do,
Speak to your parents and say "I Love You."
