What fun we had what games we'd play,
There was nothing wrong with a rainy day.
But a child's mind sees things in a different light,
They see nothing wrong with a rainy night.
It's on days like these that games we invent,
For only one reason boredom to prevent.
We laugh we joke we play around,
When we look outside we see rain on the ground.
We must make the most of these days for they are too little,
What would we do without rain life would be so brittle.
All the animals and the colourful plants the rain do need,
People just waste it warnings they do not heed.
The new growth does start with the first rain,
We need it to return again and again.
For it gives us life throughout the year,
It makes the food grow that we need to eat.
Without the rain the human race would be at an end,
So come on people let's start a new trend.
Rain is the source of our life blood,
Let's not waste it is that understood.
