Say it with roses

The first time we met roses I did send,
To a new face who is now a friend.
Without a thought straight from the heart,
What a nice way a friendship to start.

White and red purple or yellow,
Any colour will do just to say hello.
But a special colour to give to a friend,
I think yellow is the best to send.

Some like daisies some like the lilly,
To send the wrong one would be silly.
When you choose be sure to be right,
Or get left out on a chilly night.

The words of this poem they say it all,
When I see my name that you do call.
What is happening my mind in a twirl,
Maybe I have met my Dream Girl.
