Soulmate

Not always a lover but always a friend,
Someone on who you can always depend.
Not always in love but forever near,
A person with whom to shed a tear.

Not always together and often apart,
Is it possible we share the same heart.
We laugh as one the same when we cry,
Will it be the same if one should die.

Mated for life but never consummated,
We share our feelings but never dated.
Never said our vows but together we stay,
Sharing together for ever and a day.

Our souls and spirits forever combined,
Thoughts and fears remain entwined.
Call it destiny or maybe even fate,
I have found someone to call a Soulmate.
