They call it the land of a thousand smiles,
With golden beaches stretching for miles.
Those lovely people full of charm,
They would never think of doing harm.
Every single time that you meet,
They are always the first to greet.
A smile in the morn a smile at night,
You see the glow as their faces alight.
Sitting on the beach looking out to sea,
Time to relax for you and me.
Watching the jet-ski's go whizzing by,
The para-sailer's around the bay they do fly.
Around the street markets you do amble along,
To see what you can find going for a song.
All the clothes and watches they sure look nice,
But go out early to ensure the morning price.
As you venture inland the temples you do see,
Most of them to Buddha and his deity.
With many a statue most made of gold,
And all of them with a story to be told.
Around this country we did roam,
Now the time has come to head back home.
We walked around hand in hand,
This beautiful country they call Thailand.
