Why take it out on me

When someone makes you angry why take it out on me,
Your argument, I had no part in it can't you see.
I don't mind listening your anger and your pain,
But not when it keeps happening time and again.

I know anger feels better when you let it out,
But why at me must you scream and shout.
I don't think you realize how sad it makes me feel,
For I am just a man who is not made of steel.

So what if the boss made you angry I don't need to know,
Why don't you be like me and not let it show.
I have problems of my own and they are enough,
Without hearing yours and why they are so tough.

Please be a friend and listen lend me your ear,
I don't need your problems I really don't, dear.
Try and keep them to yourself we don't want to see,
And if you really can't why take it out on me.
