OK, the story is this...

Dan and Casey have known each other for a long time,and so have Casey and   Dana. Dana has always had feelings for Casey, and Casey has always made her suffer, without meaning to. This has generated a psychotic behavior in Dana, which led to her engagement with Gordon Gage (which was broken because Dana didn't care about Gordon sleeping with Sally Sasser, as much as she cared when she knew that so had Casey), and to the "date plan", in which Casey had to date other women for six months. Casey did this and met Pixley Robinson and got to like her, which made Dana very jealous. Then Sam Donovan , a ratings expert,  came to help with the show, and he made Dana crazy, in part because she liked him.  Casey was married to a woman named Lisa, and have a kid named Charlie.   Dan on the other side has never gotten too serious with anybody. He has a little trouble with human relationships because he has always been treated badly by his father and because he blames himself for his brother Samuel's death . Samuel died in a car crash while drunk and high following Dan’s example the same day Dan went off to college, and Dan never took drugs again from that day. He was involved for a while with Rebecca Sisco, but she went back with her husband Steve; slept with Bobbi Bernstein, but then forgot; and had a crush on his therapist Abby Jacobs. On the last episode Rebecca returned, divorced and all, but Dan didn’t go back with her. Natalie Hurley is the assistant producer to Sports Night. She was going out with the newcomer and computer genius Jeremy Goodwin.  Natalie was once assaulted by a football player, and she became a little distracted, but acted very bravely, aided by Jeremy. Then they broke up, and Jeremy got involved with a porn star named Jenny, but in the last episode it seems that they came back together.   Finally, Isaac Jaffe, "the boss" who has always words of wisdom for everyone. Isaac had a stroke, but came back and continues doing his job and helping everyone out in their problems. He has a grandson named Matthew, and he loves him very much, even tough he forgot his name and Matthew is somehow afraid of him.
