PART ONE

What You'll Discover Here:

A Jazz lover's dream.

A collection of the best Jazz the internet has to offer. Mostly, in MIDI format. Which does leave a lot to be desired if you're accustomed to listening to your music on CD or tape while it's playing on a stereo system.

We all suffer with this sorry state, but I have done my best to bring you the finest available sequences created by the most talented musicians and technicians making music today.

I had to listen to a lot of MIDIs.  A lot.

Most of the MIDI files on these pages were created by skilled artists who have a great feeling for Jazz. For many of the pieces, the composer was at the keyboards or supervising the sessions.

But, alas, I have yet to hear the warm and mellow tones of a live or richly recorded saxaphone performance captured in the MIDI format. Try to imagine how your favorites really sound as you listen to these performances.

PART TWO

How The Pages Are Organized:

In order to insure speedy loading, the collection has been organized into five pages. On the first four, the music is arranged alphabetically by title on a series of panels. Additionally, there is a special panel at the end of each alphabetized page.

These special panels are dedicated to a particular segment of the International Jazz World. I think you'll find them entertaining and unique, as well as astonishing in their beauty.

On the fifth page, you'll find my recent additions to this collection. The music on this page is organized on numbered panels, and will allow for completely random browsing.

There is also a special panel on the fifth page that represents my great affection for the richly beautiful and complex music of Brazil.

There is an additional special panel on the fifth page dedicated to the music of Kyosugi Hashii. This Japanese musician is taking the International Jazz World by storm. Writing in the Fusion genre, his sophisticated music is highly melodic, provocative, and elegant.

You won't want to miss the music of this young genius.

Navigation through the pages and individual panels has been simplified with the addition of directional "Click-Ons". Taking advantage of these aids will move you to any panel and any page on the site.

The Audioscopes on each page are my creations and of one other Audioscope artist. I believe they'll add an exciting visual dimension to the music.

I hope you enjoy this site, and will return again and again to be entertained.

I have included my Email address at the bottom of the fifth page if you'd care to write with your comments, suggestions, or complaints.
