Steve Rogers, a scrawny boy, volunteered to take an experimental serum to serve his country during World War II. The risk he took made him the pinnacle of human physical perfection. Wielding an unbreakable shield, Captain America became a living legend, and after being frozen for decades in suspended animation, was awakened by the Avengers. He is the ultimate soldier and an Avenger until the end.

Scarlet Witch
Wanda Maximoff posseses a mutant hex ability to control probability fields as well as knowledge of the arcane arts. The daughter of Magneto and twin sister to the X-Men's Quicksilver, Wanda has been a longtime Avenger for years. Now seperated from the Vision, Wanda is currently seeing Wonder Man.

Iron Man
Millionaire industrialist and technical genius Tony Stark built an advanced suit of armor to keep his heart beating after shrapnel nearly took it from him. Free of that problem now, Stark continues to don it to fight for justice as Iron Man. The armor is constantly changing but always has numerous weapons and helpful machines.

Justice
A founding member of the New Warriors, Vance Astrovik was once known as Marvel Boy. With the mutant ability of telekinesis, it has been his lifelong dream to become an Avenger. Now, after accomplishing that dream, he finds that he may not be cut out for it.

Doctor Pym
As Ant-Man, he helped found the Avengers. As Giant-Man, he continued the good fight. As Yellowjacket, he feel short. Hank Pym is a scientific genius and an amazing inventor, some of his greatest inventions being 'Pym particles,' which he uses to grow or shrink. After years of off and on stability, he has finally begun to find some direction, even without one of his many past codenames.

Moondragon
On the Eternals' home of Titan, the human Heather Douglas was raised to live in harmony with her mind and body. Having served as both an Avenger and Defender, Heather has multiple psychic abilities, namely telepaty, as well as being in amazing shape, though her pompous attitude isolates her from others.

Captain Marvel
The son of the legendary Mar-Vell, Kree hero Captain Marvel, Genis-Vell has taken on the mantle with his father's former sidekick, Rick Jones, with whom he shares existence. As protector of the universe, they both have a "cosmic awareness", which allows them to see tumultuous events before they happen...If they happen at all.

Photon
As a Coast Guard officer, Monica Rambeau was bombarded by radiation that altered her body so that it could turn into any form of radiation she pleases. Originally named Captain Marvel, Monica recently gave up the title to Genis-Vell. Photon has served on and off with the Avengers, through both good and bad times.
ON EARTH:

Wasp
A founding Avenger, Janet Van Dyne can shrink to microscopic size. In this form, she possesses wings which allow her to fly, and can fire a bio-electric 'sting.'

Hawkeye
A reformed criminal and longtime Avenger, Clint Barton posseses no superhuman powers, but his archery skills are unmatched. Armed with a variety of trick arrows, Hawkeye has also served as leader of the West Coast Avengers. After leading the Thunderbolts for a brief period, he had a falling out with them and returned to the Avengers.

Firestar
A founding member of the New Warriors, Angelica Jones has the mutant ability to control microwave blasts. While somewhat reluctant to join the Avengers, she has found that she has a valuable place on the team.

Wonder Man
A former Avenger who apparently died in battle, Simon Williams is a being composed of ionic energy. He possesses incredible strength and flight while in his ionic form. Recently, he was resurrected by the Scarlet Witch and the two are currently pursuing a romantic relationship.
