His mother was murdered by a vampire while giving birth to him. As a youth, he was determined to avenge her death. Blade became a vampire hunter, devoting his life to the pursuit of the Undead, first in solo action, and then as the leader of a small group of vampire hunters. He eventually joined the great Quincy Harker and his team of vampire slayers until several years back when Quincy apparently died at the hands of Dracula himself. A master of bladed weapons, from which he derives his name, Blade uses various weapons in order to eradicate the scourge of vampirism from the face of the Earth--forever:

Whistler

Not too long ago, Abraham Whistler was bitten by Deacon Frost. When Blade found his mentor, he was a bloody mess and chose to commit suicide rather than turn. However, it didn't seem to work, and Whistler returned to life as a vampire.


Gilgamesh

A legendary monster hunter, Gilgamesh has recently made his presence felt when he fought the vampyre god, Erebus.
