Sinister tapped on the metal container causing the creature within it to stir. Essex had gone to great lengths to acquire the animal and he would make sure that it was put to good use. He had special plans for the symbiote known as Carnage. Plans that involved a particular member of the X-Men. One who had shown great potential and was deserving of such a gift.

“Sinister are you absolutely sure about this?” Darrius, leader of the Marauders, asked. He had led the Marauders for almost 3 years and he had become a confidant to Sinister, his creator. He had been a homeless black man on the streets of Seattle until Essex offered him something better. He had gladly accepted.

“I’m positive Darrius. This is the way to go. I have managed to make positive strides over the last 3 years. This will help to continue that trend,” Sinister replied as he lifted up the canister and placed it in Darrius’ arms. The cold steel up against his bare arms nearly made Darrius drop the item. Fear of Sinister made him hold it.

“I know this sounds hasty, but when will my team be able to face Havok and his X-Men?” Darrius inquired. If it weren’t for his sunglasses his eyes would have shown great anxiety. That was the only reason he wore the glasses and not to mention it gave him the Morpheus look, except he wore a uniform more akin to Scorpion from Mortal Kombat minus the shoulder pads. Sinister had created all the uniforms and yes his uniform was indeed alive. It was Essex’s way of giving the Marauders an extra advantage.

“You’ll face them in time Darrius. And this go around that genetic dead end Marrow will not be given a place in my ranks. She will die!!”
