Dear Comrade Pedro: Things here have quickly gone awry. As you might have read in the attached newspaper article from my last message, things here have become unleavened. The authorities are now cracking down on leftist elements in the area, and I think it is time to leave town. Yes, I think now would be an optimal time for a Nigerian vacation. I have liquidated some of my assets, and recovered some money that I had put aside for just such a purpose. The phone sets are still a mystery. (indeed, where *could* they be?) Anyway, I will be arranging for plane tickets to Nigeria immediately. What city do you need as my destination? Will I need an entry visa? (dangling some bait) The last place I visited in Africa was the former Rhodesia, on business. I gained three new bullet wounds, a broken nose and skin grafts, but nothing else of interest occurred. (another ho-hum day for the famed Marxist Detective) Get back to me as soon as possible - I do not believe I am safe here. Regards,
Hargrove,
