I was born in a little town called Molus, Kentucky in 1937. I am a coal miners daughter. My momma was a nurse's aid. We lived in Gano, KY until I was 10 then moved to Loyall, KY until I was 15. Then my momma and I moved to Ohio. In the 1950's, after World War II, the coal mines started to shut down because people were starting to use gasoline instead. At that time a lot of people started migrating to Ohio. My parents seperated and divorced and my daddy moved to London, KY where he started his own coal mining company. I stayed in Ohio until I was about 16 1/2 then I moved to Knoxville, TN to live with an Aunt. That is where I met my first husband. My daughter, Vicki, was born when I was 18. I turned 19 the day after she was born. Several years later I met and married my second husband Frank and we had 2 boys. Frank Jr., who goes by Sonny, and my youngest son, Jason.
The music you are listening to is "My old Kentucky Home".
