Paul- Admitedly
the food here isnt the greatest, especially anything that requires
too much attention while cooking. Though I do think the hot roast
beefs, any breakfast with eggs, the most of the pies, and most
imporatntly the coffee are good. Those meals are pretty much the
heart and soul of diner food in my opinion so if you stick with
those you should be pretty happy. The atmosphere is great if you
like that real diner feel, and there isnt usually a crowd. It
can be pleasantly full but rarely more than that. Also if I'm
not mistaken its 24-7 which is also a must for any diner. Its
perfect for a late-night hang out with friends for desert (or
early breakfast depending on the night) and coffee. Finally I
personally love the service. Sure the waitresses can be grumpy
at times but they almost always call you 'Hon', which is very
important in the Baltimore diner experience. As long as they call
you that you know they are doing their best for you in a pretty
cruddy job. And to me the little bit of grumpiness shows that
they arent being fake to you, which I really respect and it kinda
makes me feel more comfortable there for some reason. But all
around this has got to be one of the best diner experiences in
Baltimore.
