BLOOD BROTHERS

Do you have a blood brother?
By Mary Lois Bierman.

I was thinking about love. I had written this down after, reading scriptures. I wanted to share it with you. I know you know it, but isn't it lovely to share the word with each other, and rejoice in what it says? It brings sweetness to the soul to just think upon all these wonderful things our Father has for us. I love sharing things I have learned. So I hope you too will be blessed by what I found out about blood Brothers

Is it a just a childs game? As children many use a custom, that in some countries is, or was a very precious, and serious act. Cutting of ones flesh, mingling the blood together. They were bonded by that blood. They stood against all foes, not alone, but together. Two become one in spirit through that act. They made a covenant with each other, an agreement, a pledge to always be there when the other was in need. Blood brothers was closer than one born by birth as a brother.

No longer do we have to face life alone either. Our Master became a blood brother to us, and is with us in Spirit, as long as we love Him with all our heart. Along the road of life, we have Him to walk with us, stand up for us, help us, encourage us. When foes are against us, they have to go through Him to get to us! He knows before we do that we will need help. So I can truly say, " If He is for me, then who can be against me." They may be, but they will not be successful in their plans against me. Besides that, I read where He also has angels that watch over me, and protect me! Hebrews 1:13-14

Yahshua, the Hebrew name of the one most call Jesus, made a blood covenant agreement with us. The difference being He was the only one that shed blood. Please look at Hebrews 9:12 Hebrews 10:22. Isn't this just awesome? By what He did we can go right into the most Holy of Hollies before our great Father in heaven. Here on earth those who become blood brothers mingle their blood together, but here we see that we are considered sprinkled with His blood. Our dear precious Master shared His blood with us. Pouring out of His life blood was His sacrifice of love, showing us how much He truly loved us. For in no other way would man kind really understand if it were less than a life given.

In doing this He demonstrated to the world one of the greatest lessons, what true love is, in the purest form. It didn't cost Him nothing, it cost Him everything. You see, in order for Him to do this He had to give up something far greater than a physical life. He gave up eternity. ( Phil2:7-8) Before becoming human flesh the WORD that created all things had eternity in front of Him. All things came into being. It is the power of His Word that keeps everything. ( Heb.1:2-3) Without it things would cease to exist.

Yes, it cost Him, but only for a little while. That is what He is trying to show us now,. It cost, but only for a little while. Then we also will have all eternity.
