PRECIOUS FATHER THANK YOU FOR FAITH



After we believed, and receive the gift of the Spirit that sets us apart from sin, we are told our sins are gone. They are put into the sea of forgetfulness. In Romans 8: we read of all the help that our Father gives us with His comforter, the Spirit of truth. Recently I was reading that instead of the word comforter, it should have read advocate. One standing up for us, giving us aide when we need it.

Even with all the wonderful helps we read about, and His Spirit living in us, we still have our human nature to deal with. We do not walk in the flesh on purpose if we are being led by His Spirit. At times though feelings, thoughts, actions just happen so quick, then we are sorry for them. It is so sweet, when we can go before our Father and confess what we did. He forgives us, and such a sweet feeling of peace comes.

I have a wonderful promise that is written in 1 John 1:9 If I confess my sins, He is faithful and just to forgive me of my sins, and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. What a a beautiful promise. We can stand on it, cling to it and place confidence in it. It is absolute, it is His Word, which can never lie. No one can call us dirty when the Father gives us a bath!

Faith. What a beautiful gift from above. Through it, miracles happen, mountains in our lives are moved, and most of all because of it our prayers are answered.

Sometimes it seems like in a situation it is hard to believe. It seems like answers do not come fast enough. Especially when we are hurting from something. We are told He must try our hearts to know it. Gold is heated up to get rid of all the dross. Our faith is heated up by trials, and tests to purify it. It is standing firm when the adversary wants to tear our faith in our Father down, declaring 'I will not fail to believe,' shows Him our heart. Next time it seems like the end is so far away, just remember maybe our great Father in Heaven may be trying our hearts to know it. He has promised to never let a test be to hard for us without a way of escape. Precious Father, thank you for the gift of faith.
