Visiting Teachers from Barbados
By Carel Lewis
Twenty-five teachers from the
Luther Thorne Memorial Primary School in Barbados
visited our school on October 24, 2000. The Principal, Mr. Calvin Briggs, and his staff extended warm greetings to our members of staff.
They toured the building and sat in on some of the class sessions. The teachers from Luther
Thorne particularly expressed interest in what obtains at our school with regards to the use of technology
in teaching and learning. Our Principal, Mr. Peter Thomas, has extended an invitation to the visiting teachers to establish an information exchange programme. The staff and pupils of Morvant Anglican welcome this idea. It is hoped that this telecollaboration venture would get off the ground soon. Further discussions are expected to be held between the Principals of the two schools via E-mail. The visit ended with an exchange of gifts. |
