Sept 7, 2005. Well he we are again except this week we get to run on Saturday and we'll continue on Saturday's for the rest of the season with the only exception being Oct 28 & 29 and Nov 4 & 5.  Those dates are for the Super Street Shootout on Oct 28 & 29 and the 1st "Annual Modoc 100" for the Super Late Models on Nov 4 & 5. Both of these races are paying $10,000 to the winner.  So if not to come out  to watch Jim and I, come on out to watch what will be some very competitve races with some of the best in Dirt Racing showing.
Now since we're talking about being competitive, Jim has been tweeking on the car again and said he really felt good about tonight.  So going for the draw he pulls a # 6. Now that can't be bad and sho' nuff we get to sit on the outside pole for the heat race.  At the green the car stumbles for the first time he can remeber, but is able to pull in behind the leader and is able to finish second despite the track being a little more slick than usuall. So starting on the outside pole for the feature won't be so bad.
Feature time comes around and after watching the preceding race, Jim noticies the track is really going to be challenging, a little slick, some rough spots in the turns, and that good ole hole going into turn one that he's getting used to since it has caused a few tire deflations in the last two races.  But at  the drop of the green, Jim gets a good jump and pulls into the lead in turn 1 and .............................never looked back.  Jim got out front, dropped the hammer and led ALL 10 laps for he first ever win!!!!!!!!! he skipped over the hole in the first turn, slid through the corners with ease and the whole time he said he heard me hollerin "Scoooby Dooooooo!".
After takin' the Checker he did a U-turn in turn 1 and went back to the flag stand cause he wanted the flag.
He got to do the Polish Victory Lap wit the checker flag and crossed the scales with no problem.  I think he had some difficulty getting out of the car cause there was a bunch of people around and I heard a pop when the helmet came off.  I was glad because since he stayed out front i didn't have to eat any dirt tonight.
So we get the winners sticker and the money and Jim reminded me to thank all our Marketing Partners so here goes:

Safe-Quip in Irmo, SC
For keeping us safe with the proper drivers protection
Pro-Blend Lubricants in Winston-Salem, NC
For help in keeping all the moving parts in the car Lubricated and Protected

The Stamping Place and Scrapbook Station in West Columbia, SC

For their support and help in keeping our scrapbook for the team.
Adam Mosher, AMSOIL in Wagner, SC
Amsoil Synthetic Oil is one of our biggest speed secrets.  Everyone should consider running Synthetic oils and lubricants in their daily drivers and race cars. For your wallet, the ecomony and to reduce the use of non-synthetic oils

One of the most important Partners is:
Henry Satterfield of Satterfield's Machine Shop in Cayce, SC.
Henry built the motor we run and it is most likely the mildest one out there and many have said it couldn't do the job.  We say, WRONG.  It has and it will do it again.
There is an ole adage about Henry and the little Ford motors it's:
Built by Ford but perfected by Henry Satterfield.
Try one, you'll  like it.

There's one more partner Jim has to thank and thats Judy, Jim's wife.  Juju as she's called is not really allowed to come to the race track.  It has been documented that anytime she does get to it  has rained. So she's stays home and puts up with Jim tracking mud thru the house when working on the car.
Well that's it for this week. We get to try and do it again next week, which by the way they'll be having another Chain-Race next week and that can be more fun than you can imagine. So come on out and remeber it will be Saturday Night at he Doc'.
Have a Scooby Doo week!

October 15, 2005
Well after last weeks success it seems that everyone how took last week of decided to come out this weekend including a few visiters.  Jim had gone thru the car pretty thourohly this week and felt good about tonights run.  well we get to the track and Jim does the pill pull and gets a number 3. Not to bad, a gaurenteed front row starting spot for the heat anyway.  Well heat 1 gets hear and going in for the green flag he gets passed by the poole sitter Jason England, and for the next 5 laps they run 1 & 2 until the last lap and Adam Nations comes blasting underneath Jim going into turn 1 (glad I'm on the other side of the car) and Jim has to settle for third (still not bad).
Jim goes over the car and removes a lot and I do mean a
LOT of mudd ( Forgot to say that the track was a wee bit wet ).  He then walked around pondering about changing tire pressure of not since the track wasn't going to dry out and would probally be a little slick for the feature.  well feature times is here and Jim made a little change and it took 3 starts befor ethe green flag stayed out.  Jim learned real quick the the pressure change didn't work like he thought but is able to stay with the top cars running in 6th. About 1/2 way thru the feature, Bubba Hartley ( a very up and coming driver, real smooth) gets by Jim and theScott Galleger sneaks by also. With 3 to go there was a 3 car pile up in turn 1 that called for a red flag for the Ambulance. No worry all the drivers looked OK, now 2 of the cars looked really beat though.  Green returns and Jim starts working on Scott and coming into turn 3 for the checker, it looked like Jim was gonna low side Scott except  he notices several cars were pointing the wrong way and spinning in turn 4, not good. Jim did notice a whole way up high and so did Scott.  After slidding thru(cause it was still very WET up there),  Jim got the car turned under Scott and started to drag race for the line, except for Jason England who was coming out of the infield, started to pinch Jim up.
Well Jim grabed some brake and jumped in behind Scott but then had to drag race Jason England, now on Jim's inside, to the flag. It worked and Jim finishes 5th not to bad considering he had all the cars up front with more in thier motors and a couple of tracks champions but, as they say, "you must first finish to finish first".  We wasn't first but we did finish ahead of 12 others cars and improved our position by 3, not bad..
Okay a little schedule change for the track.  The Cahin Race and Demolition Derby will be held Saturday Oct 29th.  This is the $10,000 Super Street Shootout weekend, also all other classes will be running that day for increased purses.  So plan now and come on out, Qualifying and heats will be Friday night the 28th and all features will by Sat.  You don't want to miss it.
Till next, Have a Scooby Doo Day!
