Well it's been quite a while since the last
update, October 2001 to be exact... Things have
been rolling along just the same.
Benjamin turned four March 10th. We had a party
and invited his friends from school. He
had a blast.
Hannah continues to grow, she turned 18 months
old in March, she's putting words together and
speaking in 3-4 words sentences... "Daddy
shoe go!" This is what she tells
daddy when she wants to leave the house and I
don't put on my shoes fast enough for her.
She's also started calling Benjamin
"Benji"... Now we don't call Benjamin
BENJI, this she started all on her own. Benjamin
will correct anyone who tries to call him Benji,
"My name is BENJAMIN JAMES MASON!" but
Hannah he lets call him that. Very cute! Oh and
Hannah just can't call you by your name once, no
it's "daddy-daddy-daddy" or
"mommy-mommy-mommy."
Hydee continues to enjoy her
job with CCH, and just returned from a weeklong
business trip to New York City. Hydee tried in
vain to get into see the WTC ground zero site
but the rain and the fact that she didn't have a
ticket stopped her.
I continue with my work on the web doing
graphics jobs here and there for various web
sites. I co-founded the superhero movie site
devoted to all the upcoming
"Superhero" movies in production, www.superherohype.com
premiered in Dec. 2001, SHH was a spin-off from www.spidermanhype.com.
(I had been doing graphics and news updates for
SMH for nearly two years) My partner Mirko (who
lives in Texas) and I have seen the
SuperheroHYPE site hit record numbers with more
than 29 million hits in the month of April...
just amazing.
Mirko & I were invited to a special
screening by SONY of the Spider-Man film before
anyone else got a chance to see it. If you've
been living in a cave the past month Spidey has
grossed a gazillion dollars faster than any
other film in history. Anyway we saw the film
and I posted the first review of the film on the
web. (read
my Spidey review here) Currently SHH is
covering all the upcoming Superhero movies in
production, Hulk, Superman, X-Men2, Hellboy
etc... So if you have any inside scoops let me
know!
Benjamin goes to school three days a week and
just loves it. He went thru a period of "Separation
Anxiety" for a couple of months in Feb.
where he would produce the boo-boo face every time
I tried to leave him. Thankfully that phase
didn't last long.
Hannah & I go to music class once a week,
kind of a Mommy & Me class where I'm the
only DADDY there! Now ladies don't get me
wrong there is nothing I like more than to be in
a room full of kids and their mommies... but
there is nothing like being the 11th wheel on a
10 wheel bike... I've never been one to join the
"clique" or to talk about my gynecologist,
but these moms just down right won't have
anything to do with me, dad's are welcome just
don't skinny dip in the mommy pool!
Hydee, the kids & I recently went on a hike
in Palos Verdes. It was a great two and half
hour walk, we learned all about the local terrain
and it's history. Hannah got a free ride in the
backpack. Benjamin was a real trooper the
youngest hiker in our group he impressed
everyone there. He was so cute, he wore his
pith-helmet and carried his trusty walking
stick. He was lucky enough to find an impressive
collection of rocks, fish fossils and a quartz
stone.
Well we are looking forward to the Memorial Day
weekend, and we wish all our friends the very
best till the next update!
